Letter of Opinion (Revision)

My opinion letter is based on the news that I've read in Jakarta Post
(http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/04/05/batik-air-aborts-takeoff-following-collision.html)

Dear Editor,

Having read your article concerning “Batik Air aborts takeoff following collision” (Mon, April 4 2016 ), I am writing to express my opinion.

I think the human error occurred in the accident, so that is the omission of Air Traffic Control (ACT) officers. So, there must be done further investigation to the weak point and the mistakes. The wrong side in the accident should be given the sanctions that aircraft collision does not happen again and they should be more careful in their job.

According to the other sources, It is said that the movement of aircraft at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport 108 times a day, outside the military flight or 54 takeoff and 54 landing.

During the time, some recommendation of KNKT are not carried out by the manager of Halim Perdana Kusuma airport. Among these, the issue of flight slot per hour, the capacity and the space for aircraft.

Currently, Halim Perdana Kusuma airport has only one aircraft movement path, that is west cross taxiway. That the plane does not need to turns to the takeoff and landing, need to built the new pathway for the movements of aircraft on the east side of the airport, that is the east cross taxiway.

Sincerely,

Hakiki Nirmala Sakti
